Most common type. Gaskets seal plates for easy cleaning and capacity changes. Plates: SS304, SS316, Titanium, Hastelloy. Gaskets: NBR, EPDM, Viton.

Plate pairs welded for non-corrosive media; gasketed pairs handle corrosive streams. Balances seal integrity with serviceability.

Brazed Plate (BPHE)
